It was night time, and Vanitas was in his room, lying on his bed. He suddenly heard his clock on his nightstand begin to chime. "Right on time. She should be here any sec. " He rolled off his bed to his feet and put on a black leather jacket, and his black fingerless gloves. He walked out of his room and went into the living room, where Terra and Aqua were looking at photos of Ven and Kate. Before Ven had turned evil by the jealousy and hatred in his heart. Terra turns and noticed Vanitas walking pass them. " Hey, Van! Where ya going, Dude?" Vanitas said, looking at him, frowning, " I'm going out for a shake! You guys want one? " Aqua said, " Make mine a vanilla swirl!" Vanitas said, " Got it! "
Terra asked, " Hey, how are you gonna get to the city? The bus doesn't go out this late! " Vanitas said, " I have a ride... " He walked outside, as Terra shouts after him, " Van! Make sure you keep away from Ven, Kay?" Van shouts, " Yeah. Yeah. Whatever ... " He held up a hand as he walked out the door. He could hear Aqua crying as he closed the front door, as a bright blue car pulled up in front of his house. He walked to it and a window on the passenger side rolled down and Kate, his code gloved girlfriend was at the wheel! She turned to Vanitas, who said, " Hey, ya ready? " Kate said, hearing Aqua crying, " Yeah. Is Aqua still...? " Vanitas said, sighing, " Yeah. Let's hope we don't run into him tonight... " Kate said, " Knowing him, we probably will..." Van nods, sighing, climbing into the car.
Vanitas said, " Nice wheels... " Kate said, " Thanks. " They arrive at the shake shop, and Kate parks in the usual spot. Vanitas - or Van - said, getting out, " I'll be back, Kay?" Kate said, " Sure, Van! " He closed the door, and went inside. Then Ven comes walking towards the car with his buddies! He knocks on the driver's side window and the window goes down and Kate looks at him, a bit stern, " Ventus...? " Ven said, playful, " Aw, Kate... Don't you ever call me, " Ven " anymore? " Kate said, " I haven't called you that ever since you were normal, Dude! " Ven said, opening the door and touching Kate's cheek, " Aw! You're even adorable when you are mad. " Kate smacked Ven's hand away and said, " Van's with me, ya know... He won't like me talking with ya! "
Ven's eyes glowed red as he said, " Who says I'm here to talk, Kate...? " He snapped his fingers, and said, " Boys... Show my crush how to have a great time with a real guy!" Kate screams and shouts, " Van!" Van hears and looks outside the window, " Kate! " Vanitas rushed outside, asking the miss to hold the 3 shakes he just got! As Ven's guys pulled Kate out of the car, Ven said, looking at her outfit, " Wow! You have an excellent taste in fashion, Code Glove. I'm quite impressed. " Kate looks at him, saying, " Let me GO! " Van shouts, " Hey!" Van looks at him, leaning against a pillar, his arms crossed in anger. " Hey, Bro... Long time no see! " said Ven, pretending to care. Van said, " Drop it! She said to your boys to let her go!" Ven said, smiling, pretending to be scared, " Oh! Vanitas... Is that any way to talk to your brother? " Ven looks at him, angry now, " Besides- she was mine first! "
Van said, " You had your chance, Ven! You blew it a long time ago!!" Ven said to him then his other two boys, " Oh! Really? Get 'im boys!" The two guys ran towards him and Van made his keyblade appear and asked, " WHY DON'T YOU JUST LEAVE US ALONE?! Don't do this, Ventus! " Ven shouted, making his own keyblade appear, his eyes glow red, menacing, " I said that to our Dad! He didn't listen! Instead - HE USED MY DARKNESS TO MAKE YOU!!! If you didn't exist - I'd have her to myself! " He points the keyblade at Van as the guys grab him! Kate zaps the two boys holding her, and through Ven off balance. He blasted Van's forehead and Van falls to the ground!
Kate runs to Van shouting, " Van!" Ven teleports in front of her and grabs her arm, shouting at Van, " Like I said before, Vanitas: When I want Kate - I get her!!" Ven kicks Van across the shop! Kate shouts, from inside the back of a truck that drives away, " Vaaaaaaaaan! " Van reached a hand out to Kate, saying, " Kate... " He makes his keyblade appear and said, " H-heal! " Van heals himself, and looks at a picture of a heart with the x- blade in it. He falls to knees, shouting, " VENTUS!!! " He heads to a bar in the outskirts of town, he knocks on the door and a solid eye thing opened, asking, " Code Word? " Van said, " Dragon Guardian # 158! " The door opens and the guy said, " Why are you here, Van, old friend? You left here after you quit with yo dad. "
Van said, " Antonio. I'm here to see Amino. She's the only one who can help me find Ventus! " Antonio said, " She's in the back, sprucing a drink for someone. " Van said, walking in, " Thanks... Oh! And by the way, You still owe me for saving your brothers. " Antonio said, " Yeah. Yeah. Don't remind me, old friend. " Van walked to the back of the bar with his hands in his jeans pockets, looking at a few people he didn't recognize. " Hmm... Some new people are in here. Guess word got around... " Van looked at the redheaded girl, sprucing a few drinks for people! Van said, " Amino... Yo kia chee! " Amino screamed startled, " Aah! Van-Van! Why are you here?! I told you to not ever come back! " Van said, " I need help finding someone! " Amino said, turning to a machine, " Why should I help?! You destroyed my friend and kissed my friend's gf! "
Van said, touching his chest, pleading, " Amino, that was the old me! Please... One more time. This girl is my heart and soul! She made me a better man than I once was, Please... " Amino said, sighing, turning back to Vanitas, " Don't tell anymore I give you this! There's a place Ventus and his gang go to at midnight! Be careful! They have high security and bad dudes! " Vanitas said, holding the card, " Thank you... Amino! I promise- I'll make things up to you! " Amino said, " Yeah. Sure... " She turns to the machine and fills up a mug with cream! She turns sad, and sighs, and said calm, smiling, " Why don't you stay for a while! I've been working on your favorite drin-! " But when she turned, Vanitas was gone, all that was left of him was an origami dragon! She smiles, staring at the dragon!
Meanwhile, Ven has plans for Kait! He walks into the room, where Kait was sadly, sitting on a bed! Ven said, " So... Have you agreed to become mine? " Kait said, stern, " I won't be yours, Ven! You can't force me to just become your wife! It's isn't right! " Ven looked at her, mad, " You WILL be mine! If you regect me! I won't promise not to kill Vanitas! " Kait gasped as he glared at her! He took out a small black box, and opened it, asking, " So... What will it be...? " Kait looked at him, unsure. Ven looked at the necklace in his hand as he took it out of the box! " Come on, Sweetie... Just say yes... Help me become me again... Only you can do it! You know I'm right! Remember... I'm not the enemy! Vanitas is! Please... I love you. " Ven's begs got through to her. Kait said, sadly hanging her head, " If I marry you... You will you promise to leave Van alone? " Ven said, smiling pleased, " ... You have my word... Honey! Vanitas uses his card shortly after the three members did, and follows silently behind them! Vanitas lost sight of them, after he sees two paths! " Grr! Which way now?! Which way leads to her?!" Meanwhile, Ven told his two boys, who were his bodyguards, to head to Kait's room and get his bride! The two boys knock on Kait's door and Kait asked, " Yeah...?" One of the guys said, " The boss needs ya! " Kait asked, " What for? " The other said, " One rule about th' boss! Never question th' boss' emotions... " The first guy said, " Come along, Bride o' Ven! " As Kait walks in front of them, she silently sings to herself, " S.O.S... Please! Someone help me... It's not healthy! For me to do this. Y.O.U are making it hard... I can't help but think it don't feel right!" They arrive at the hanger, where Ven sits on a throne, looking down at his gang members, fighting with their weapons! " Boss! We got your queen! " Kait looks at Ven, who turns and his small angry frown, turns into a loving smile! Kait finishes her song, " This time won't someone come and rescue meeeeeee! " Ven said to his guards, " Thank you, NOW LEAVE US!" They said, obeying, " Yes, Sir! " They walk off, and Ven said, comforting, " Come sit by me, my Queen! " Kait said, sad, " You are certain that you won't hurt Van? " Ven said, in shock, placing his hand to his chest, " Why, Kait! You are making it sound like I'm a liar! I swear I gave you my word... But you said nothing if he were to come for you! " Vanitas finds Ven's chamber and puts his hood on, and blends in with the gang of warriors! He sees two guys, ( Sora and Riku ), and walks over to them! He changes his voice to a 14 year old's and asked, " Yo! Mind if I join in? " Sora said, " Sure! Here!" Sora tossed a staff to Vanitas, and Vanitas catches it with one hand! He twirls it ninja - style, and impressed Sora! But Riku was suspicious! He tries to attack the boy, but Vanitas blocks him with his arm and hits him over the head with the staff! Then he tripped him up with the staff as a warning! He gets his info that Ven has Kait up in the throne balcony above the arena! Vanitas said, " Thanks... " Sora stopped him, " Whoa! Whoa! You can't just go up there! You need someone to guide you up! " Vanitas said, " Ugh! Fine! Come on!" He grabbed Sora's shirt and yanked him to follow him. Vanitas whispered, as the two boys got near the door, " Dang it! There are guards here!" Vanitas asked Sora, " How do we get past those guys? Any ideas? " Sora said, " ... I don't know, to be honest! I've only been to the boss only once... " Vanitas said, " Humph! Guess I have to go in uninvited... " Vanitas said, using his normal voice, walking to the guards! " Yo! Outta my way! " He took off his hood, and angrily looked at the guards, demanding, " Let me pass! Now!" The guards shout, " VANITAS! GET HIM! " Vanitas defeated them both and was about to go and confront Ven for Kait's freedom, when he got captured by a guard! He woke up tied out to a chair and heard an evil laugh! Above him was Ven, holding a remote in his hand! Ven said, disappointed, " Tsk! Tsk! Tsk! You shouldn't have come for her, Vanitas... Like I said, " When I want a cute girl - I take her!" You really disappoint me... " Kait was above Van's head! Vanitas said, shocked, " Uh... Kait! " Kait said, " Van! ... I'm so sorry... " Vanitas watched in horror as Kait gets blasted! Vanitas got so angry, he broke the chair and was free! He destroyed the attacking gang members, but got overwhelmed! He was about to be killed, but then! * Whack!* The last of the members were gone! Sora looked at Vanitas and said, " Heal!" Vanitas's wounds disappeared, and Vanitas said, " Kait! " Ven clapped, as he said, " Great work... " Vanitas and Sora climb out of the arena and get the unconscious Kait! Vanitas held her body close! Ven said, " The only question left is: What's your next move gonna be?" Vanitas used a shadow ball to attack Ven, but it only went through him! " Ha! Nice try! I'll always be one step ahead of you! " Vanitas said, now crying, angrily glaring, " ... I'm gonna find you one day!" Ven's hologram said, chuckling, as it vanished, " Heh! Heh! ... Good luck... " Vanitas took Kait to a hospital and she was going to be fine! Vanitas went back to the shake shop and picked up the shakes he got earlier! And heads back home, he goes through the front door and shouts, " Yo, I'm back! Got the shakes! " Vanitas was greeted by Aqua, who runs to him, hugging him in worry! Vanitas said, " It's alright, Aqua... Everything's a-okay now! " Aqua said, " You didn't come back for such a long time - I got so worried! " Vanitas said, giving her shake to her, " Here's your milkshake... " Aqua thanked him and walked out of the room, slurping her shake! Vanitas sat down on the couch, looking through the photos Aqua. " Ventus... I know I can't make you turn normal again! But Kait's in the hospital because of you! You kidnapping her only made me go after you... wish I knew what to do... " Said Van, sorrowfully, in his thoughts, " And... To save you both... I keep making mistakes... Doubting myself... " He sees the photo of Kait, Himself, and Ven, Ven was in the background, crying, his eyes closed, Vanitas sorrowfully said, " ... And...
